Even with the country’s Universal Primary Education Program, there are fees that must be paid for a child to attend school in Uganda. The people believe that one key to breaking the cycle of poverty they live with day to day is to educate the children. However, that same poverty prevents this solution. Life in Africa Foundation – Uganda has currently identified over 150 children , mostly orphans, who struggle to attend school. Their goal is to create a fund to make it possible for each and every one of them to go to school. They will do this through grants and donors.
We at Life in Africa USA are committed to help them reach their goal. Much of the money we raise through craft sales and donations will go to support this program through our grant assignments.. With your help, we will accomplish this goal.

Orphans make up a large part of the children in need. So many have lost their parents due to war, HIV or other diseases. Without parents, there is no financial support.

The beautiful thing about these children is that they WANT to go to school. Even at their young ages, they know it is their only hope for a better future. They will walk miles and work long and hard for hours if given the opportunity.

This is a typical family. A single mom raising two children of her own and also two relatives who are orphans. She barely ekes out a living through craft sales and by working in the rock quarry, so school fees for four children is an impossible thing to achieve.
On behalf of the children and those who love them, Life in Africa USA thanks you for your interest and your donation.
